THE TWL2 BULLETIN BOARD


The TWL2 bulletin board is a spin off from the T&T marine bulletin board. It is run by Andina Marie Foster, (tech@yandina.com). Most members here are also members of T&T. Subjects are not limited but tend toward technical discussions on marine subjects.

POSTING GUIDE AND TRICKS

This is not a general purpose message board. Please send personal communications off list.
Please >SNIP where possible and send plain text to minimize traffic to our friends on slow links.
The new board severly truncates the length of "quoted" text. On this board many posts are a response to a post on T&T so quoting the original is important. The trick is to make the original look like part of your post by removing the ">" symbols, and if necessary the ">>" symbols.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR SUBSCRIPTION

All subscription changes are now done on line at the bulletin board when you log on. If you don't have a Google account you will have to sign up. All they require is an email address and a password which they will verify for authenticity.
SIGN IN using the email address your posts are sent to and the password you select(ed).
If you don't have, and don't want to open a Google account, please send your request to Andina and she will make the changes for you - you can participate in the email BB without a Google account.

EMAIL and DIGEST CHOICES

LIVE EMAIL - You are sent live emails for all member's email posts or live bulletin board posts.
DAILY DIGEST - Once per day you receive the day's posts in a single indexed email.
DAILY SUMMARY - Once per day you receive a summary of the day's activity.
WEEKLY REMINDER - Once per week you receive a short email reminding you of the archive address(es).
Email and digest choices can be made when you log onto your account at TWL2 Log In with your email address or send Andina a request at tech@yandina.com and she will change it for you.
You can make posts at any time, however posting directly on the live board requires a Google password to verify your email address.

HISTORY OF THE TWL2 BULLETIN BOARD?

This list is run by Andina Marie Foster. You can contact her directly at tech@yandina.com. She owns YANDINA LTD. Yandina has manufactured marine electronic products since 1992.
This board was started because Andina was excommunicated from the TWL (now T&T) bulletin board due to her commercial association. It started as a list of friends she had made on the TWL BB to keep in touch. Many others who had been thrown out of TWL and many dissatisfied with the management attitude joined the list. So instead of a list of friends it has unexpectedly grown to a BB with over 600 members.

This list includes about 85% of the active members of T&T plus many who are not in T&T. Most of our members are also members of T&T so posting the same subject to both is usually unnecessary.
