Yandina Ltd. manufactured marine electronic devices under the West Marine brand name from 1993 to 2005. The new retail distributor starting 2006 is Defender

. Research and Development plus field testing is performed on our research vessel YANDINA, a 71 foot steel ketch. The manufacturing facility is located in Beaufort, SC.

Periodically we sell manufacturing seconds or refurbished returns directly however they go very quickly. We also sell our main products direct but they are cheaper at Defender

RETURN REFUND POLICY

  All products carry an unconditional 30 day full refund policy, no questions asked. If the return is due to faulty manufacturing, we will pay return shipping. Returns beyond 30 days in new, unused, and marketable condition will be refunded at current market price.

UNLIMITED WARRANTY

Unless stated otherwise for a particular product, all our items carry an UNLIMITED warranty against failure from any cause (including sinking, lightning etc.). If we are unable to correct your problem, we will send you a new or reconditioned replacement, shipping prepaid. Your only cost is the return postage on the faulty product. We reserve the right to void this warranty under unusual circumstances. An example was a bogus company charging for Combiner repairs and just sending them to us for free repairs. Liability is limited to the retail price of the item.

No RMA is required but we strongly suggest you call our technical support toll free at 877 355 2184 before returning items. On average over the last 13 years, over 80% of returns have absolutely nothing wrong with them.

Most repairs are completed in one business day and returned by Priority Mail at our expense. We close annually for vacation which can extend repair time.

SHIPPING COSTS

WE SHIP TO 50 COUNTRIES - Shipping cost is available when you enter your country on the CHECKOUT page.

We ship UPS or Mail. Shipping prices are quoted prior to checkout.
We charge actual cost of postage for Express and Priority mail calculated based on zip code. WE DO NOT MAKE A HIDDEN PROFIT ON POSTAGE COSTS. The US Post Office provides free boxes and free pickup.
We offer UPS Next day, Second Day, 3rd Day and Ground. We charge the applicable base rate plus a percentage to cover UPS surcharges and the box to ship it in. They charge an additional surcharge for delivery to residential addresses. This may result in a small undercharge, or a small overcharge that is not refundable.

REFURBISHED ITEMS

CLOSEOUT AND REFURBISHED PRODUCTS. These items are either refurbished returns from customers or factory seconds with cosmetic defects. All carry a full warranty. They have been fully checked, components replaced where necessary and are equal in function to new items, but cannot be sold as new. Some items may have minor cosmetic defects.

AVAILABILITY IS NOT GUARANTEED If added to your order, and the item is out of stock, you will be issued a full refund. We try to keep the availability up to date but they sell quickly and may not be shut off in time on the web site.
